The Wizard, the Witch, and Two Girls from Jersey by Lisa Papademetriou

If you like the novels of Meg Cabot (“Princess Diaries”) or Gail Carson Levine (“Ella Enchanted“) then you may enjoy this 2006 Young Adult fantasy novel by Lisa Papademetriou. Unlike “Princess Diaries” or “Ella Enchanted,” “ The Wizard, the Witch, and Two Girls from Jersey” is not written in the first person. Neither is it as good. Therefore, I am not recommending it. (That hasn’t stopped Paramount Pictures from optioning it, though.)
