This 300-page fantasy, the third in the series “Percy Jackson & the Olympians,” is a fast read. I recall reading one of the first two novels but don’t remember it too well.

Protagonist Perseus, 14, is an American Harry Potter – a good-hearted and very resourceful reluctant hero. He and his buddies have, like Harry Potter and his classmates, super powers. But whereas Harry Potter and company are wizards, Percy and his friends are demi-gods and magical creatures from Greek mythology. They fight monsters and interact with the Greek pantheon in modern-day America.
